This is designism alright! Let me give you the jist of what's going on here. Basically some restaurants are recycling their old clear bottles and using them to set at tables for customers to order. It's simple, efficient and, from a personal perspective, would be nice to have to speed up the process of dining out. There is one of these on a table with three buttons and, as the diagram clearly indicates, the bottle lights up blue for water, red for order and green for bill. How many times have you sat in a restaurant trying your hardest to make eye contact with a waiter or waitress because you've been waiting to order or have been done eating for some time? I'm sure we've all done it and this gives them a heads up quickly and it you're employed in the industry it would help make your job easier as well.
