This blog is on tattoo design which is a little different but I feel it deserves to be mentioned because of it's meaning - spiritually and physically. I recommend reading up on this subject through the link but regardless I'll give a brief synopsis. These Monk tattoos that are only administered in the Wat Bang Phra temple are deep in meaning for the tattooer and the tattoo-ee. It's a very spiritual process throughout and the actual tactile process is no walk in the park. The ink that is used is made up of ink, water and snake venom and is punctured through the skin one dot at a time, making the process hours long. However, once one is through with the procedure their life and body will forever be represented by the tattoo's supposed power and will be a protected and stronger person for it.
